    Straw-Nana Smoothy Great for when sick

    I have an illness that causes me to get sick. This drink is great for cold and easy to stay down along with getting the nutrients from the Banana you need when continually getting sick. :) Love it! Tastes GREAT!

    One of my fav smoothies

    This is a crowd pleaser. I like to use maple syrup or agave liquid as my sweetener. Both are good. I've tried soy, almond, and coconut milk and I liked all three. I usually end up doubling the recipe because my family gulps these down.

    Yummy!

    I make this at least once a week. I like to pump up the nutrients by adding a cup or so of spinach leaves, and a 1/2 cup of blueberries. Even my teens love this smoothie (without the alcohol of course).

    Absolutely Delicious!

    I have made these on many occasions as a way to bond with my child. He is into healthy food. I am not. What I love about these smoothies is that they are fantastic for both of us. I don't however just make them in summer, but love them as holiday treats or for no special occasion at all. Thanks, Silk!!

    Mid-morning Treat!

    Do to cancer surgery I can't drink regular milk. When I discovered Silk Almond Milk I was in heaven! I love smoothies & this one is a favorite! I use alittle Agave or a packet of Nectresse for my sweetner. And Silk Almond or Soy Milk is always front & center in all my smoothies! I like to add Greek yogurt, any flavor, for my probiotics & added creaminess. I also just discovered Chia Seeds which has great health benefits & add alittle something extra to my smoothies.

    Best Smoothie Ever!!!!

    I love making my smoothie with silk soy milk vanilla flavor or silk coconut milk. I don't even add the vanilla drops because it is not necessary. Just adding silk milk makes it taste delicious!

    Great smoothies

    I only drink soy milk because the whey in cows milk makes me sick and I have to say that this and any smoothie is much better with silk (esp. vanilla) than cow milk. Also I find that if you use vanilla silk you don't really need a sweetener at all!

    "Moo"ve over milk

    This is a kid (both big and small) favorite. Delicious and nutritious. Tastes so much better with Silk than with the bovine by-product most commonly used to prepare these.

    Get your day going Smoothie

    Great recipe, used honey as sweetener and the second time I fixed it threw in a few baby carrots and a 1/3 of a sweet potato. Fruit, veggies and calcium, everything in one.

    Keep it simple

    Strawberry banana smoothies with Silk soymilk are great! If you use vanilla soymilk, you do not need to add any extra sweetners or vanilla. I just add fruit, soymilk, and ice!

    Love it but I add greek yogurt!

    Delicious!

    This is a fantastic smoothie made with Vanilla Silk Almond Milk. I have a smoothie 3 or 4 times a week for a quick out the door breakfast. I either pair it with a piece of Paleo Toast or sprinkle in some flax seed. Delicious!

    Wow!

    I have made fruit smoothies before, but this one is great. I never thought of adding vanilla to it. I used organic honey as sweetener and added a little bit of spinach. Yummy! Definately will be making this again very soon. :)

    Great with the Drops of Vanilla

    I'm used to making smoothies with a 1/2 Silk Unsweetened Almond Milk, a whole banana (not frozen), a 1/2 cup frozen strawberries, and 2 packets of Truvia. I followed this recipe exactly (even freezing the slices of banana), and I LOVE it this way! The xtra drops of vanilla (which I have never added before) really add a little extra sweetness and I think it just compliments the smoothie a little better. This is now the ONLY way I'll make my strawberry/banana smoothies!

    Great for the milk lovers who can't drink milk

    In our house we have 1 lactose intolerant child, 2 allergic to dairy, and 1 breastfed baby who can't do dairy or soy. Making these soothes with Vanilla Almond milk is absolutely heaven and great for us who love milk type drinks. For the strawberries, we took fresh ones and sprinkled them with some sugar, let them sit for a few hours and then froze. This is how we add the sweetener. For vanilla, we like to add in some vanilla beans instead sometimes and we always add in a handful of fresh spinach. If anything is left, we pour it into popsicle molds and freeze for a frozen treat.

    Silky SMOOTHie!!

    WOW! This was strawberry punch out of the left field. I've never tasted a smoothie that good before and I'm a regular Jamba Juice customer. I've tried all of their smoothies. But when it comes to making an amazing smoothie, having Silk almond milk as an ingredient is in a league of its own. I used the almond milk with a dash of raw coconut sugar, organic ripe banana, and home grown strawberries I picked up from local nursery. The French bourbon vanilla was last to top it off. It was an amazing combination of flavors and smells!! Highly recommend to anyone and it's become a favorite of mine. So long Jumba Juice...

    The best thing about this recipe is that it gives you energy and alertness. It uses silk milk which does NOT aggravate allergies to lactate. After you drink this smoothie you will feel refreshed and energized.     Get over hangovers

    You had me at "VODKA"...LOL!

    I never even thought of adding a shot of vodka to my smoothie. Great idea for a special indulgence every once in a while. Minus the vodka, this is a breakfast staple for me each day. I don't use any sweetner as the frozen fruit adds enough sweetness and sugar on it's own. I use a half cup of the DARK FRUIT BLEND bag of frozen fruit (pitted cherries, blackberries, blueberries, red grapes) for extra pop of vitamin C and anti-oxidants. I also often add a half an avocado for more vitamins and thicken up the smoothie like a milkshake. Can't forget the extra half a banana too. DELICIOUS!!

    This recipe is the easiest way to enjoy Silk products. I think 1 TBS sweetener is too much, though. I only use 1 tsp. I also add crushed ice to make it more slushy. Of course, many other fruits can be used too. Delicious.

    Daughter loves it.

    My daughter can't drink regular milk so we started buying almond milk.     Vanilla Soy!

    I love this recipe because it is so versatile. I prefer using vanilla Silk instead of adding vanilla flavoring. I think it tastes better that way. I can even sneak in some spinach and it doesn't really affect the taste.

    So I made this... this... beautiful wonderful love in a glass! I cheated, (Because I could.... ) and added some pineapple and a dash..... splash.... fine.. 2 squirts of chocolate.. (I used a bit more banana as well for texture and I froze the banana for about 30 minutes with the skin still on..l...) I mixed up my monstrosity and it looked sooooooo yum I went for the gusto and added my 15 calories of whipped topping in a can and my 10 calorie cherry on top!!!     Very yummy!

    I really loved this smoothie! I think next time I make it I will leave out the 1 tbsp sweetener. The banana made it sweet enough without the need for extra. I think I'll also throw in some cocao nibs to give it a hint of chocolate!

    Make it your own

    I loved this Smoothie. But, I wanted to make it better, "make it your own". I added 1/4 frozen papaya and 1/4 cup blueberries. The blueberries not only taste great, they are good for you. The frozen papaya adds a nice little flavor to enhance the almond milk. My daughter can not have any dairy and loves the Straw-Nana Flip Smoothie. But, this makes it even better.

    My husband, son, and I tried this smoothie recipe using almond milk. The guys praised the creamy texture. I liked it, but felt I should have used my regular Silk soymilk instead. I also used fresh strawberries (I didn't have frozen) and the frozen banana flavor predominated. In future, I'd switch to frozen berries~or just use more!

    I use Silk Vanilla Soymilk in my smoothies and honey to sweeten them! My sons and I just love smoothies made with Silk Soymilk and they taste even better than smoothies made from regular milk!     Love this!!!

    I am lactose intolerant plus I get gastritis on and off so its difficult for me to get a smoothie out there without feeling sick after.     Quick and Delicious

    This smoothie - and other variations on the recipe - make such a yummy snack or lunch! I leave out the sweetener and vanilla and use unsweetened Silk Almondmilk and a serving of vanilla protein powder. Cinnamon is a nice addition for a natural flavor that has a tiny kick to it. Smoothies are wonderful because they are so easy to make (you just dump all the ingredients into the blender and push a button) and with the addition of a protein powder, they make a healthy meal. Use non-GMO protein powder so you aren't getting any unwanted chemicals!

    I took the recipe and kicked it up a bit by adding 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon to it and leaving out the sweetener. The cinnamon adds just the taste change needed to make up for the lack of the sweetner. Go for the flavor boost with the cinnamon!

    I love making this fruit smoothy (although I always add a handful of organic spinach - yes it changes the color, but no you cannot taste it!). Delicious!     Start your morning the right way

    I have celiac disease and it often makes it hard to drink milk. I am always able to enjoy the silk products. I have made this shake with both the soy and almond milk. Both are great. I usually have this for breakfast and it is a very filling start to my day. It is good with some of the silk yougert in it also.

    Great Recipe for Substitutions

    This dairy-free recipe is great as the basis for other fruit substitutions for in-season fruits. One of my favorites is to use raspberries (read or black) instead of frozen strawberries. Raw honey is a great natural sweetener. I use a small amount of ice, as needed, to thicken the smoothie. A real pleasure to have such a refreshing drink for my gluten-dairy free medically induced diet. The mix freezes well for homemade smoothie pops too!

    LIFE IS GETTING BETTER

    I have been told by my Dr. to go on an organic diet completely if I want to live with the illness I have. He recommended Soy Organic Unsweetened. If I must sweeten it, use stevia no sugar.     Silk Almond Milk of course! I used the unsweetened Silk Almond Milk and it was the best smoothie I've ever had! Dairy milk makes smoothies too heavy. Silk Almond Milk, however, gives this strawberry banana smoothie its perfect consistency with way less calories!

    Great taste with one alteration

    I love this smoothie, but I also add my vanilla protein to it. It tastes awesome-I love it with Silk Unsweetened Coconut Milk, too!

  • For a spirited drink, add 1 oz vodka.
