I absolutely love almond milk. This is my first time trying it and I might never to back to regular milk.this stuff is yummy. I got the unsweetened and wanted sweetened. It's really wonderful unsweetened but I believe i would enjoy it a little more Sweetened. I drank it alone at first to appreciate it was pretty awesome. Then the next morning I put it in coffee! So good! Now I am headed to the store to get some stuff to make smoothies. I will definitely be purchasing this on the regular now. It is excellent and an amazing substitute. It doesn't even feel like I'm giving up any flavor or anything. I love this almond milk!! Can't wait to try different ones

I recently tried a carton of unsweetened vanilla almond milk marked with the "New silky smooth taste" graphic and I'm shocked at how bad it tastes considering the ingredient list doesn't appear to be any different from the last carton I had that was the "old" formulation I've been drinking and enjoying for several years.

Drinking this new formula felt like I was choking down slimy, artificial vanilla scented air freshener. It left an overpowering aftertaste of cheap vanilla lip balm in my mouth and the feeling of a slimy coating. I don't have food allergies so it was very concerning that after only tasting a little bit of this new vanilla almond milk I started to experience a scratchy, prickly sensation at the back of my throat, and I had to use my rescue inhaler for Asthma because the new flavor reminded me so much of breathing perfume chemicals, not any naturally derived food flavoring.

Why in the world do companies reformulate products that don't need "fixing" in the first place? I regularly buy 3 to 4 cartons of Silk unsweetened vanilla almond milk each month but I will never buy this new formula again. I sincerely hope Silk goes back to making the "old" formula until then I will not risk purchasing anymore Silk almond milk of any kind.

Best Yet!

By

Comments about Silk Unsweetened Vanilla Almondmilk:

This is a great dairy substitute! In addition to calories, I have to watch my potassium intake, and this product solves both problems for me. It also comes in smaller containers, which is also another plus for me.

Change it back!!!!

By

from Austin Tx

Comments about Silk Unsweetened Vanilla Almondmilk:

The new silky smooth taste is horrific. My best description for this change is a vanilla waffle I've thrown up. I bought this on accident not seeing they change "ALL" the products to have this vomit inducing thick overly flavored taste. Why on earth would you change something that was working for so many people?!

I love Unsweetened Vanilla Almondmilk

By

from Sugarcreek Township, Ohio

Comments about Silk Unsweetened Vanilla Almondmilk:

I make an excellent shake for breakfast every morning: baby spinach, walnuts, frozen fruit, 2 scoops of protein powder, top it off with Unsweetened Vanilla Almondmilk and mix. Very satisfying. I usually take my protein powder with ne when I travel and I am always happy when I open my friends refrigerator and find Unsweetened Vanilla Almondmilk, they love it too!

Horrible New Version

By

from Tampa, FL

Comments about Silk Unsweetened Vanilla Almondmilk:

The new updated silky smooth version is horrible. They also added citric acid to the ingredient list, which gives me an upset stomach. PLEASE GO BACK to the older version. That one was great. I don't think I will be repurchasing Silk Almondmilk anymore and I have been buying it for years :(

Yuck!

By

Comments about Silk Unsweetened Vanilla Almondmilk:

The "new and improved" Silk unsweetened vanilla almond milk is TERRIBLE!!!!! Why did you have to change something that required NO CHANGE? The executive at Silk who had that idea should be fired!

Not enjoying the new silky smooth taste unsweetened vanilla

By

from S Windsor CT

Comments about Silk Unsweetened Vanilla Almondmilk:

I've been using this product for years and have loved it. However, my first purchase with the new 'silky smooth taste' has left me disappointed. It has a funny taste. I thought maybe the item I purchased was bad but I saw another similar comment. What has changed and why? It was great the way it was.

Terrible taste on "new and improved" version

By

from Georgia

Comments about Silk Unsweetened Vanilla Almondmilk:

Please go back to the way this product used to taste. The "new and improved" product tastes terrible. I have been a loyal unsweetened silk almond milk fan, but will have to switch the Almond Breeze if the silk doesn't change back to the precious formula and taste.
