This is the product that finally got my wife to go vegan! I've been waiting years for a nut milk to have added protein so I was ecstatic to finally see Silk Protein Nutmilk on the shelf (bought two). We've since stocked up to make sure we're never out. It's extra rich and creamy, doesn't separate in coffee and kicks up a smoothie with flavor and protein. Thank you, Silk!

I've only been able to drink rice milk because most milk alternatives are pretty nasty and change the taste of what I'm eating. Unfortunately, rice milk has no nutritional value other than the calcium they add. In an attempt to increase my protein intake, I tried this Protein Nutmilk by Silk.

Pros: Its rich, "creamy", and has a good source of protein, fat, and very little sugar. I've cooked with this and it doesn't seem to separate.

Cons: However, it really thickens anything I try to make with it. This milk is THICK. They should omit the thickeners if possible. I can deal with that, but what I can't deal with is the taste. It is no milk replacement and tastes worse than soy and rice milk. Its very strong tasting and even after adding a bunch of vanilla extract to it (I was making a custard), I could still taste the nut flavor. In fact, I also tried half cows milk and half nutmilk... I could only taste the nutmilk!

Its not for me. Others may like it, but I'd rather they make a protein rice milk instead, which would be fantastic for those with nut, soy, and dairy allergies.

This product has changed my life

By

from Kirkland, Washington

Comments about Silk Protein Nutmilk:

I use this product as a substitute for milk or cream in every recepie you could imagine. Both me and my girlfriend like to avoid dairy if possible and silk protein nutmilk has made that a feasable reality. We go through almost a full carton every two days. It truly is the definition of a staple in our lives. I am so thankful they are so concious with their sourcing of ingredients, getting non GMO project verified and making sure their products are carrageenan free, I cannot say enough good things about this brand. They have changed my life and health for the better. I beg you, give the original almond milk a try, then the original protein milk. You will never go back!!

Much love to you silk, keep revolutionizing our food industry one product at a time!

Meets all my needs, tastes great

By

from Albany, Oregon

Comments about Silk Protein Nutmilk:

I have Crohn's disease and am always on the lookout for highly nutritious products. I used Silk cashew milk since it was introduced but it lacks protein. This new product has great taste and texture and is a major source of protein. Only issue is that it is so popular that my stores occasionally run out. Highest possible recommendation.

Regret

By

from Florida

Comments about Silk Protein Nutmilk:

I wish Silk came in smaller sizes so I wouldn't be stuck with a product I don't like. This is too thick to enjoy. I was drawn to it because of the protein count and thought the taste would be somewhat slight. I was truly letdown

Too much sodium for this vegan

By

from State College, PA

Comments about Silk Protein Nutmilk:

I would prefer a healthier version of this product.
I don't understand why added sodium is needed? If you're using sodium as a preservative, then just add less salt and adjust the shelf life accordingly.
That much sodium (220 mg per serving) is definitely unhealthy.
And why do you add sugar to this product? You don't add sugar (or that much sodium) to your unswseetened Almond and Cashew milks.

Yum

By

from Floral Park, NY

Comments about Silk Protein Nutmilk:

Tried this product for the first time today. Added it to my smoothie: blended 1 cup ice, 1 cup Silk Protein Nut Milk, 1 scoop of my protein power mix vanilla flavor, 1/2 cup frozen cherries, 1/2 cup frozen pineapples, 1/2 cup frozen strawberries, 1 small banana and 1 serving size container of fage yogurt. It came out great however I can taste the added sugar. Usually I make this smoothie with water, however I am looking to increase my protein intake. I have one request, please consider making this product with less sugar.

Even My Tot Likes It!

By

from Georgia

Comments about Silk Protein Nutmilk:

My daughter didn't like the taste dairy milk so we tried this option because of its protein content. She loves it! I'm happy we've found a better alternative for her, but we'll be mindful of the sodium and added sugar...Please make a no sugar added option. Thanks!
