I need a dairy & soy-free creamer without caseinate, & no polysorbate. Have tried everything out there. The Protein Nutmilk actually lightens my coffee! Great in tea. Love the flavor, the protein, the extra calcium.

Please note, it works only in deacidified coffee such as Kava instant coffee or regular coffee treated with Prelief deacidifier. If it came prealkalized, I'd give it 5 stars.

(The acid in regular coffee will cause the nutmilk to curdle/ separate. )

I am all about almond milk and trying other nutmilks. I normally drink the unsweetened almond milk 30 calorie and it's perfect. I have this stuff a go, I received this complimentary for testing purposes from Crowdtap and my family is not a fan. It's reallly thick! Which is so different than the normal almond milk we drink. Also, it is high in calories. No one in my house will drink it. The idea is great, but not for this family.

Too much fat!

By

from FL

Comments about Silk Protein Nutmilk:

Why 8g of fat? It would be great to have less fat, less sodium.
I appreciate the ability to get soy-free protein, but c'mon!

Great in coffee from a coffee lover and coffee snob! :)

By

from Cleveland, Ohio

Comments about Silk Protein Nutmilk:

As I have eliminated dairy from my diet, I have struggled to find a coffee creamer that I liked or could tolerate. Used to love a creamy cappuccino with milk, cream, and sugar. I Love coffee and look forward to starting my day with it. Black is good but a bit tough on my stomach. I have tried every soy, coconut, and almond creamer that I could find but never liked any of them at all. I love Silk Protein and nut milk in my coffee!!!!!! I buy the one with only two grams of sugar. Love this product. It is a bit high in fat but a little in my coffee is a great way to start the day. Please continue to make this product!!!!!!!!

Good protein, low sugar and has the texture of whole milk

By

from Washington, DC

Comments about Silk Protein Nutmilk:

This provides the much needed protein I'm lacking in my diet and the low sugar is great. I'm not a huge fan of the texture but that's because I'm used to drinking fat free milk. It just takes some getting used to. I do have one question, the Silk website says the milk has zero saturated fat but the nutritional label says it has .5g (3% of DV). So which is it? Does it have saturated fat or not?

Great Product!

By

from Dayton, OH

Comments about Silk Protein Nutmilk:

Nutrition: I really like this product. It is 130 calories/8oz serving (1 cup) and has 10g of protein, dairy milk only has 8g of protein/serving. By percentage that is 31% protein which is a higher % than whole or 2% milk. This milk has zero saturated or transfats and is fortified with vitamins and minerals that include calcium carbonate, vitamin e acetate, zinc gluconate, vitamin a palmitate, riboflavin (b2), vitamin b12, and vitamin d2. It also contains 5g of fiber/serving which is a nutrient that is commonly very low in the diets of Americans because our diets are generally high in meat, refined grains, and processed foods that are either naturally low in fiber, or have had fiber removed to make them more palatable. The calorie content is similar to 2% dairy milk.

Taste: It is not a "sweet milk" like a lot of the "original" almond and other nut milks are. It is my opinion this milk would make an excellent replacement in cooking for cows/dairy milk.

As a registered Nutrition and Dietetic Technician I feel this is a great product for those wishing to replace dairy milk as has decreased saturated fat and adds much needed fiber to the diet.

As a competitive strength athlete I feel this is a good product to increase protein for vegan and vegetarian strength athletes looking to build muscle mass and have all the health benefits mentioned above.

Makes a Creamy Oatmeal and Tasty Beverages

By

from Upstate NY

Comments about Silk Protein Nutmilk:

I don't normally drink almond milk on its own, and prefer to make cocoa-rich drinks and fruit smoothies with it, as well as use it as a substitute in recipes. On its own, the Silk Protein Nut Milk has a thicker consistency than dairy milk, which is also very creamy. I mixed it with sugar-free hot cocoa mix, and really liked the result. Also, when used to make my superfood oatmeal, the nut milk produced a creamier, less dry consistency. As a side note, I like all the healthy benefits that come with the Silk Protein Nut Milk, like the calcium, vitamin D, less sugar, and of course, the protein. Amazing dairy substitute

By

from San Diego, CA

Comments about Silk Protein Nutmilk:

If you're expecting the consistency of almond milk, you won't like this. Protein nutmilk is super creamy--even more so than whole milk. But the flavor is excellent, and, I have to say that the extra protein makes this, hands down, the best dairy substitute I've ever encountered.
