Ingredients

  • 1 cup Silk Chocolate Soy, Almond or Cashewmilk
  • 1 frozen banana*
  • 2 tsp honey, if desired

 

*Remember to peel and chop the banana before freezing

    Amazingly great!

    I love smoothies for breakfast on the days I have to go to work. This is quick simple and delicious! I've played with it some, and in addition to the ingredients a couple of tablespoons of peanut butter (I love peanut butter!) gives it an added flavor and some protein! All my smoothies are made with either Vanilla Silk or Chocolate Silk.

    Fantastic Post-Workout

    Through years and years of running, I've always heard that chocolate milk was a perfect post-workout drink; the perfect balance of protein, carbs and fat found in chocolate milk was great for recovery. This is the best version of that balance. Chocolate almond milk adds great chocolatey flavor (and antioxidants) from the dark chocolate while being refreshing and satisfying and the banana adds potassium to keep my muscles feeling energized and strong. I find the honey unnecessary, especially when using riper bananas, so I opt out.. but this recipe is a winner. Simple and delicious.

    Delicious with add ins!

    My husband and I like to experiment so we added a scoop of peanut butter and then blended and it was amazing! Also adds a bit more protein.

    BCH Breakfast Chocolate Heaven

    Yum, chocolate for breakfast, and it is healthy because of Silk! This recipe is quick, healthy and easy to make for anytime, but a great thing to wake up to. I am lactose intolerant and this fills in my milk craving in many ways.

    So yummy!

    I made this for my 22 month old daughter, but instead of using soy almond milk I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk. I also added a couple tablespoons of peanut butter, and she absolutely loved it. I even got in a taste, and it was delicious.

    Delicious!

    I make this one all of the time! I love to drink it during my period-curbs the hunger, chocolate cravings and protein that I need. To make it extra thick and cold (for hot summer days), I add about 3-5 ice cubes. I also put in 2 TB of peanut butter sometimes. The honey makes it a bit too sweet if the banana is ripe and certainly if it is overripe.

    Choc-o-riffic!

    We use the banana as the sweetener, add unsweetened vanilla almondmilk, and chocolate protein powder for a powerful breakfast to get us up and out the door!

    Great way to start the day!

    Definitely a keeper in the recipe catalog! Who doesn't love chocolate? Tastes as yummy as a reg chocolate shake. Plus, Silk Almond milk makes it that much healthier! Mornings are that much more awesome!

    Yummylicious!

    I have this shake every morning before I'm off to classes and it keeps me full and satisfied until lunch. It's so good and I love how satisfying it is! It's very good with a few TBSP of peanut butter or strawberries in it as well.

    Smoothies made with Silk are so delicious!

    I am so glad I found these recipes. Finding smoothies on a low sodium/low calorie diet has been difficult. I like to add frozen strawberries into the mix for some extra flavor.

    Simple Satisfaction!

    How much simpler can you get? This shake tastes just like a Wendy's Frosty but with just a hint of banana. It makes a great, quick breakfast but an even better Friday night splurge. I'm hooked!

    Chocolate Lovers!!!

    This smoothie is great even if you don't freeze the banana or add the honey. I love it and this coming from a chocolate-aholic, is amazing. I use the Silk Cashew Chocolate and it is soooooo good!!!
