    Moist, chewy cake

This cake is surprisingly moist, even a bit gooey. It was really easy to prepare, and the taste, even though it could be more chocolaty, is pleasing. If, however, you're looking for a fluffy cake, this is not it.

    Extra Chock Chocolate Cake !!

Great easy cake to make. For chocolate lovers....use Silk Chocolate, Soy or Almond for an extra kick! Also try a little more cocoa or try some grated dark chocolate...mmmm. Vary dry or liquid ingredients for your taste...gooey or dry. We have made 3 so far!

    Super Moist and Chocolaty

A rich delicious chocolate cake that reminds my husband of his grandmother's homemade chocolate cake. Nicely sweet, and does not need any frosting. Very quick and easy to make. I used SILK PROTEIN+FIBER ALMONDMILK, #GotitFree, so not only does it taste good, it is good for you, with the added protein and fiber.

    Chocolate Snack Cake

Very moist, rich chocolate cake. Quick to get together. My non-vegan family loved it, too!

    Excellent!!

This cake is so delicious! Very easy to make and even the kids loved it! If you love moist cake that doesn't even need frosting, then you've got to try this recipe. (I used the chocolate almond milk.)

    just ok

The cake is ok...it has a much different consistency than I expected. I think I will stick to regular cake mixes from now on.

    Not very impressed

Cake did not have a very pleasant texture and was very gooey. It seemed almost as though it was undercooked (even though it was in oven slightly longer than the recommended time and passed the toothpick test). The cake had a very bland taste. Overall, pretty disappointed and won't be making ever again.

Moist and right amount of sweetness

I made this yesterday, Jan. 5, 2016. It turned out really perfect and now I can't stop eating it! One of the reviews mentioned that it's bland, no, it's not -- I think the person's expectation of sweetness is high and she's probably on a sugar binge everyday, so when the level of sweetness is low she thinks it's bland. So go ahead and make this yourself! Oh, and since I didn't have unsweetened apple sauce I ended up using my son's stage 3 apple-banana Gerber baby food and it turned out just fine (and even more healthful since there are no additives).
