Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Silk Light Vanilla Almondmilk
  • 1/4 cup light coconut milk
  • 1/2 frozen banana*
  • 1 Tbsp chopped dates
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • 2 Tbsp protein powder and/or 1 Tbsp ground flax, if desired

 

*Remember to peel and chop the banana before freezing

    Delicious and refreshing!

    I made this for my morning shake and it was divine!! A few changes based on what I had in stock: did not use dates, added a tsp of vanilla extract since I only had regular almond milk, and added 1/4 cup of water since I do not like thick smoothies. Oh, the banana was not frozen. It was delicious! I did add flaxseed meal and it still tasted great! I will definitely make this part of my daily routine. Great refreshing drink for summer!

    Like Dessert!

    I've really been missing ice cream since giving up dairy. This recipe really satisfied my craving for something creamy and sweet. I did not add protein powder. Also, I used coconut milk ice cubes that I froze the day before.

    Coconut Cinnamon Silky Deliciousness

    WOW! This refreshing, and comforting drink takes me to Fall heaven. I did not add the protein powder and instead added a 1/2 cup of coffee. It was so yummy. It may have given my fall time usual from the local coffee shop a run for its money! Amazed at how creamy it was with the silk almond milk!

    So good

    Who keeps dates in their house? Not us. So I didn't include them in the recipe - I used plain almond milk because I was using vanilla protein powder. Incredibly creamy and good.

    Unexpectedly delicious

    I would never have thought to put dates in this drink, but they really add a nice undertone. I think the coconut/cinnamon combo is nice.

    A Winner for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner!

    This shake is so good- warm notes of cinnamon, smooth and creamy coconut, and the sweetness of the banana and dates make for a refreshing and totally indulgent treat!

    Wow!

    Wow! A great change up from the usual chocolate or fruit flavored smoothies. I don't like to purchase special things for special drinks so left out the dates. And like another reviewer, I keep plain almond milk so added a little vanilla extract.

    A new and interesting deletable delight.

    I'm a fan of anything coconut flavored and this recipe really caught my interest. I never thought of trying cinnamon and coconut together and let me tell you that it is quite amazing. I highly recommend this recipe. It will satisfy your sweet tooth while keeping it nice and healthy.

    Memories of St. Lucia

    This amazing smoothie brings back memories of a delicious cocktail I drank every day by the pool of a St. Lucia resort. The difference is that this is very healthy and nutritious. I added nutmeg to it for flavor enhancement.

    Unexpectedly Impressed!

    I love Coconut and I love Cinnamon.....but together, I was sure I wouldn't be a fan! But I decided to let my husband decide on our new recipe, and low and behold......the coconut and cinnamon is what he picked!! To make a long story short, I was "Unexpectedly Surprised" at how delicious it was!!! Perfect blend:-)

    So Good!

    I left out the dates and protein powder. I love coconut and didn't want to lose some of the taste by adding the dates. I added some finely chopped coconut for more taste and texture.

    What A Pick Me Up

    Work 12 hour shifts and this was great. We incorporated the new Silk Coconut Milk. Gave me energy to get my day started. Gave my granddaughter the healthy nutrition she needed. It was wonderful and tastes so good. We just love using Silk at our house!!

    Delicious! Refreshing and filling. I used a Cinnamon Spice blend that includes cloves - blended nicely with the coconut. A recipe to repeat often.

    Comforting!

    I love this recipe and even add in a little cardomom sometimes. Try adding a little toasted coconut or cinnamon powder on top!

    I gravitate toward easy recipes that don't require a lot of shopping, and this one certainly qualifies. Not only is it easy, but it's absolutely delicious, and, of course, healthy.

    Who needs dairy?

    I used unsweetened almond milk (my absolute favorite) and organic maple syrup instead of dates. So creamy and delicious!

    A light and creamy fall drink!

    This was an absolute delight to drink on a fall morning. It was so light and creamy, and the cinnamon was a perfect seasonal embellishment. Like the previous reviewer, I did not use a frozen banana; I also left out the dates, used flax seed, and added vanilla extract since I had only plain almond milk. Honestly, this smoothie recipe was so delicious. It was a delightful and unexpected treat. I am lactose-intolerant and always have trouble finding delicious smoothie, ice cream, and other dessert recipes that can compete with the flavor of traditional dairy drinks and dishes. This smoothie really rivals the flavor and quality of dairy-rich smoothies.

    Coconutty Delectability

    I was a bit skeptical about this one at first, but after trying it, ohhhh my goodness, I've found the perfect fix for my sweet tooth! I'm also slightly lactose-intolerant, so the fact that it's dairy-free is a huge bonus. Definitely give this one a shot even if you're having second thoughts. It's awesome.

    All about Coconuts!

    I always make a smoothie before I go to bed and I was looking for something different than my usual peanut butter banana. Well, this is my new favorite. I already have a real affinity for all things coconut. So, when I saw this recipe to make yet another amazing mix with my Silk Pure Almond Light Vanilla milk I was ecstatic to try it. It has the smoothest creamiest texture with a light coconut vanilla flavor. The cinnamon gives it that little extra spice that makes this a perfect healthy treat. This coconut cinnamon recipe conquers all your sweet cravings. But no need for the guilt. Wow Silk, you have done it again!

    Perfect Breafast Drink

    I was so tired of having the same healthy beverage every morning but I could not find any new recipes which caught the attention of my tastes buds. I found this recipe and was so intrigued by the thought of coconut and cinnamon. The two just seemed perfect for each other. I made the recipe and the first whiff told me that I had found a best friend beverage. It is so refreshing and each sip just gives you that feeling of peace and comfort as well as just makes you want to smile.

    Pick Me Up Please!

    This would be a great way to start your day but, for me, it's a great Pick Me Up in the afternoon. You know when 2:00 rolls around and you are getting sluggish. You don't need another cup of coffee and the vending machine is looking good but there is nothing even remotely healthy staring back at you. Try this instead! It is lusciously satisfying without the guilt. It gives me the energy I need to get through the day.

    Really great. I left out the dates and added shredded coconut(finely grinded up). I like more coconut flavor. Not bad with a splash of rum too.

    Deliciously Healthy

    This drink is so creamy and yummy, you'd think it came right from one of those swanky coffee shops. So easy to throw together. I made mine in less than 5 minutes and ran out the door to drop the kids at school and hit the gym. Fantastic. I get my protein and my sweet tooth is satisfied.

    Amazing

    I can't get enough of this drink! It surprised me how sweet it ended up being. The only differences I did from the recipe were that I doubled the amount of cinnamon and I added some chia seeds into the mix. Taste great, and I'll definitely be making it a lot in the future!
