Ingredients

  • 1 cup Silk Light Vanilla Almondmilk
  • 1/2 cup sliced pear
  • 1 frozen banana*
  • 1/2 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground flax, if desired

 

*Remember to peel and chop the banana before freezing

    Absolutely delicious! It tastes like a pear-banana milk shake with a touch of zing from the ginger. I can't believe something that tastes this good is nutritious for you too!

    I absolutely love this smoothie recipe using pears, bananas, ginger, cinnamon, flax seed, and Light Silk Soy Milk. Being a senior citizen, I need the major boost and nutritious start to my day that this recipe yeids ! Bravo !

    Surprisingly Good

    I was a bit of a skeptic at first, could pear really go with soymilk? Turns out, the answer is yes! This drink was surprisingly refreshing and delicious!

    Special Breakfast

    We love our pear ginger muffins and decided to have one with the ginger pear smoothie. Wow! What a great start to our day. The banana in the smoothie made it just the right consistency. Who needs coffee! The smoothie was quick and easy to make.

    Digestive aid!

    I normally wouldn't think to put ginger in a smoothie, but it does help with digestion and goes very well with the flavor of pear. This is a tasty snack or addition to lunch.

    Fantastic! But could use a little something...

    This is one of the most refreshing smoothies you could possibly have pear and ginger go so well together. Though, I didn't give it five stars because you need to add raisin to this recipe. It adds one more layer of yum!
