Ingredients

  • 1 cup Silk Original Soy, Almond, Coconut or Cashewmilk
  • 1/2 cup frozen diced mango
  • 1/4 cup quick oats
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • Mint leaves, for garnish

    Mango Lassi Smoothie

    One of my fav drink recipes on Silk.com. The ingredients can be played around with some (but don't leave out the salt!). Will be making this for my next party :)

    Coming from a traditional Lassi loving family...

    My father's half of my family grew up drinking mango Lassis all day long. The recipe posted here is far from the Lassi taste and texture. I ended up adding 5 tablespoons of plain Fage Greek yogurt to make the "milkshake" texture and used an entire mango to override the taste of cashewmilk. I also used 2 teaspoons of lemon juice. I would recommend not using the oats because it adds a roughness to the texture and ruins the smoothness.

Preparation

  • In a blender, combine all ingredients except garnish until thick and creamy.
  • Serve in a tall glass garnished with mint. 
  • For a spirited drink, add 1 oz bourbon.
