    OMGOMGOMG!

I've been trying to find a good vegan cheese sauce/queso blanco recipe for ever, and this one is the hands-down BEST one I've ever made! From the taste (I used a whole Daiya havarti wedge instead of mozzarella) to the texture (since I used the whole wedge it was more than a cup, but it was the perfect thickness) it was the most similar dip to real queso I've tried. And it's easy!

    Fiesta!

I love Mexican food, and I've recently gone vegan. This i the perfect transition and a great party snack, or a little pick me up when I'm watching tv!

    Great.

I followed the directions except I left out the Cumin (used a dash of Paprika) and left out the lime. I forgot to pick it up. IT still turned out wonderfully! So great, my kids loved it and so did my friends. I will be making this again to bring for Thanksgiving and Christmas to share. Great for watching Sports too like Sunday night Football! NOt a complicated recipe, in fact it was easy. Thank you for sharing.

    Soooo Scrumpteous!

My husband and I LOVE cheese. We recently made a lifestyle change of eating and are trying very hard to go vegan. This dip is our go-to dip that we love to enjoy whenever we crave a cheese dip. It is so good. My husband even says he likes it better than our regular "real" cheese dip!! It is really creamy and has so much flavor, we don't miss our "real" cheese dip at all!! We have used it to dip all sorts of veggies in it. We have made our own corn tortilla chips. AND we have used it to top off baked potatoes and baked mac n' cheese!! YUMMY!! I like to keep a jar of this in the fridge just in case!! Thanks for the great recipe!

    Great Holiday Season Party Dip

Everyone will love this dip! This is so good even my parents who normally turn their nose up at my vegan recipes enjoyed this wonderful and easy dish. I just wish I had made twice the amount so I could have taken some back home with me!

    Jaw dropping!

It's nice to FINALLY find a dairy-free dip recipe without nutritional yeast! My family isn't a huge fan of the yeast, so this is a great way to dive into the chips and dip without the animal products. :)

Vegan Queso Blanco

Preparation

  • Sauté onion and jalapeño in a small saucepan over medium heat until the onion starts to brown, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Stir in almondmilk and cornstarch until well combined.
  • Whisk occasionally until mixture begins to thicken, about 5 minutes.
  • Whisk in beer, cumin and lime juice.
  • Add in vegan cheese. Stir thoroughly until cheese melts and forms a smooth mixture. Add more cheese for a thicker dip or less for a more pourable cheese (to top nachos, etc.).
