I haven't had milk in over 50+ years because of a milk allergy. About a month ago a friend convinced me to try Silk Almond Milk so I tried the dark chocolate almond milk. Wow, it was delicious! Taste just like milk straight from the cow (minus the chocolate), thick, rich, creamy and delicious. I can now enjoy milk again (no more powdered milk, yea!) without the side effects that dairy milk gave to me. I'm please that it has more calcium in it as I have been lacking from not drinking milk. I'm hooked on this chocolate milk but I can't wait to try the others especially the soy for cooking. Thanks Silk for letting me enjoy milk again. Can anyone answer these 2 questions for me, please? Does Silk make ice cream and can I use the silk original soy creamer as a substitute for dairy creamer or condense milk when making a nice creamy clam chowder soup?

All varieties of Silk soy milk have been a regular part of my diet for many years. More recently I've also been trying some newer Silk products such as its almond milk, cashew milk, and coconut milk. Today I made a smoothie with Silk dark chocolate almond milk, and when I first sipped it, and then re-sipped it, I was taken aback -- it's WAY WAY too salty. Why has Silk added 230 mg of sodium per serving to this product? Not only is that amount of sodium unhealthy, but overly salty dark chocolate almond milk doesn't taste good at all. Please leave out all or at least most of the sodium from this product.

Does silk almond milk contain carrageenan?

By

from Trinidad & Tobgo

Comments about Silk Dark Chocolate Almondmilk:

I love this product. In fact I stopped drinking cow's milk 4 years ago and this has been my go to. I've become quite concerned with the volume of added sugar in here. Please consider making at least a low sugar option.
Also does anyone know if this product contains carrageenan? It's used as a thickening agent!

Comments about Silk Dark Chocolate Almondmilk:

I have to say, I was a bit skeptical when introduced to the idea of almond milk. That's weird, I said, that's not real milk. And while it may not be "real" milk, it is so much better than any dairy chocolate milk I've ever had. I'm a big fan of dark chocolate, and even if you're not, trust me, you'll love it. And for me, well, I'm able to satisfy my sweet tooth.

I wonder if you could make some ice cream out of that. Hm...

Comments about Silk Dark Chocolate Almondmilk:

I tried the original almond milk, and I have to say I was not a fan, I just didn't care for the flavor/texture. But being a huge dark chocolate fan I tried this, and this stuff is amazing! My favorite way to use it is in a milkshake. I blend some of this with a frozen banana and a little ice and its my new favorite treat. I'm going to try the vanilla next!

Too much added sugar. An unsweetened version for this product would be healthy and taste better

Comments about Silk Dark Chocolate Almondmilk:

I love the dark chocolate silk, it's so delicious. Dairy free for my baby who can't tolerate dairy (breastfed baby). It gives me my chocolate fix, and calcium instead of cows milk.

I love SILK products....
The dark chocolate milk has great flavor.... but, less sugar would give it 5 stars, instead of 4. Please consider it.
