Chocolate Snack Cake

This delicious cake is dairy-free and vegan!

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 2/3 Cup Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Natural Cocoa Powder
  • 1 Tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • 1/4 Cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 Cup Unsweetened Applesauce
  • 1 Tbsp White Vinegar
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla
  • 1 Cup silk Soymilk, almondmilk, oatmilk, Or coconutmilk, Any Flavor
  • Powdered Sugar, For Dusting, Optional

Directions

  • Step 1

    Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Step 2

    Coat an 8-inch square pan with cooking spray.
  • Step 3

    Add flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt to the prepared pan and whisk until combined.
  • Step 4

    Add oil, applesauce, vinegar, vanilla and Silk and mix until combined.
  • Step 5

    Bake for 25-30 minutes until top springs back and a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
  • Step 6

    Cool completely.
  • Step 7

    To serve, cut into 9 squares and dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
