Chocolate Avocado Mousse

Ingredients

For The Mousse

  • 2 Ripe Avocados, Peeled And Pitted
  • 1/2 Cup Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1/4 Cup silk Heavy Whipping Cream Alternative
  • 1/8 Tsp Sea Salt

For The Whipped Topping

  • 1 1/2 Cup silk Heavy Whipping Cream Alternative
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Tbsp Of Chosen Sweetener (Maple Syrup, Honey, Stevia, Powdered Sugar, Etc.)

Directions

  • Step 1

    Combine all mousse ingredients and mix with a food processor or hand blender until well combined. Scrape sides occasionally.
  • Step 2

    Transfer to a bowl, cover, and refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
  • Step 3

    Next, to make the whipped topping, pour Silk into a deep bowl to avoid splashing during whipping (a chilled bowl is best to keep the product cold).
  • Step 4

    Add chosen sweetener and vanilla extract and whip until at "stiff state" using one of two options*:

    1. KitchenAid Stand Mixer (Speed 8 or 10, 75-90 secs)

    2. Hand mixer (Max speed, 2-3 mins)
  • Step 5

    Lastly, remove mousse from fridge and divvy up into small bowls. Then apply whipped topping and enjoy!

    *IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not over-whip beyond the times listed above. The product can separate or lose its fluffy, whipped texture if it is over-whipped.
